Tolerance Trumps Everything

I am insulted by being required to push 1 for English, but if I ever voice a complaint about it I will be immediately scorned as rude, or bigoted.

I have been seeing a lot of this lately; heaping guilt and ridicule on the innocent or victims.

According to the Politically Correct, (PC), we are supposed to remain silent no matter how egregious the offence!

If someone says anything about someone else doing wrong and reports it to the police or the authority in charge wherever you are at the moment, then scorn and ridicule is heaped on the one who reported the evil deed, and not on the evil doer.

I have experienced this personally and repeatedly. There seems to be a "Don't rock the boat" attitude permeating America.

PC requires us to tolerate evil and remain silent or we risk branding as a homophobe, racist, or accused of simply being a complainer or just plain rude. How many times have you heard, “You are the only one who complained about this, no one else said anything about it!”

Somehow this maneuver to subvert justice has become the ‘New Normal” today!

By switching the focus from the offender to the offended, the person who is complaining is made out to the aggressor instead of the perpetrator!

In the "Old America" bad behavior was frowned upon, and scorn was heaped on the person who acted badly; no more!

Tolerance is the “New Virtue” no matter what kind of offence might have been committed.

Tolerance of bad behavior is the “New Normal” today!

Tolerance trumps everything; we must tolerate incompetence, criminal threatening, bad behavior, theft, poor service, and above all, “We must do it politely and with a smile!” After all, we wouldn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, now would we!

I have seen this in the workplace and in public venues. Management simply wants the problem to ‘go away’ and if you are bringing the problem to them, then it is “You” who must ‘go away’!

How did things go so wrong?

How did we get here? Why have things turned out this way? The answer lies partially in the liberal mind set. Liberalism has been recognized as a disease. The rest of the answer is in the lateness of the hour; more on this later!

The liberal mindset is the result of self centered behavior and rebellion against God.

It permeates all facets of society!

Here is an example!

When I was a kid in the fourth grade, I learned that a ‘product’ was something that was ‘produced’ like a toaster, or a car! But that was before the ‘war on words’ began in the late ‘60’s!

In the fourth grade I also learned that a service was an intangible, something that could not be held in your hand like a bank loan, or an insurance policy! You can hold the loan papers in your hand. You can hold the money loaned to you in your hand, but you cannot hold ‘a loan’ in your hand.

No more! I was speaking with a friend who worked as an officer in a bank when he told me that the loan I was getting was a ‘good product’! A product, I replied with a surprised tone in my voice? I explained the classic definition of a product to him as I had learned it in the fourth grade.

I told him “Words mean things” that is how we communicate! We all agree on what a certain word means. If you look it up in the dictionary, ‘that is the meaning of a certain word’ to which he replied, “Well that’s what we call it!”

I asked him why they didn’t call it ‘orange juice?’ Observing the puzzled look on his face, I explained, well, ‘that’s what I call it!’ He didn’t get it!

This may seem like a silly example but this is the principle by which murdering innocent babies in the womb went from calling it what it is, “Murder” to calling it ‘reproductive health.’ Who would be against reproductive health! That sounds innocent enough and is a good thing, or at least you’d think that this was so judging by its name!

The names of liberal agenda bills in congress are very carefully chosen to mislead the public. ‘Health Care’ now who would be against that? After all, ‘anyone who speaks out against health care must be a terrible person!’

But this bill in not about health care! It’s about establishing a totalitarian, evil government in place of the freedom that was once the USA. It has nothing to do with health!

This brings us back to tolerance!

All of this bespeaks the lateness of the hour. I hesitate to buy green bananas! That’s how close we are to the rapture. I don’t know when it will happen, but it will happen!

The signs that Jesus gave us of his second advent are all around us, and if that is imminent, the rapture is even closer.

The next time you are reminded by someone that you are intolerant, ‘Look up, your redemption draws near!’
